Is this a soothing melody? - No
Has this song got beautiful lyrics? - Hmmm. Not really.
Is this song a good duet? - Never.
Has it got good vocals? - Yes.
Has this song got a good orchestration? - Yes. Pretty good.
Is orchestration the only reason I love this song? - Not exactly.
Then what makes me write a review for this song??????? :x
The way the composer fuses an old melody song in this fast paced number. That is not an easy task at all!!! The fast paced number "Sutta Suriyanai" song in Sarvam is the one I'm talking about. Yuvan amazingly fuses "Megam Karukkudhu Mazhai vara paakudhu" song at 2.25 when the song is going on a fast paced note. Well done. This is one main reason I love this song despite its run-of-the-mill tune. Listen to it. You will like it....

This song, just like entire OST, is really awesome, a foot-tapping number, that gives you an enthusiastic feel thanks to Yuvan's orchestration, Vijay Yesudas' superb singing and also the lyrics (personally, I do like like them, especially when it goes like "Anaikkaddeduthu veesungada kaathupola, namma kaiyezhuthu minnalaachu vaanathile"). As you said the clerverly done fusion is the highlight of this song, very well done, Yuvan! Excellent song, though I have placed it on 4th rank on this OST behind Kaatrukulle, Neethane and Siragual. All in all, Sarvam is outstanding!

Yes, this is definitely not the pick of the album. Katrukulle, Neethane, Siragugal are outstanding... Well, this comes 5th in my list... Adada comes second in my list followed by Neethane and Siragugal....
No doubt. Sarvam is an outstanding album. Poor Singer selection is the only minus point here.
எனக்கும் ரொம்பப் பிடிச்ச பாட்டு இதுதான். அதிலும், நீங்க குறிப்பிட்ட மாதிரி ‘மேகம் கறுக்குது’ உள்ள வர்ற இடம் அழகு. வரிகள் நல்லா ரைமிங்கா இருக்கு.(அர்த்தம் இருக்கோ இல்லையோ..:-)) விஜய்யோட குரல் மற்றும் வரிகள் இதெல்லாத்தையும் விட யுவனோட (வி)வேக இசைக்கோர்ப்பு இது எல்லாமே சேர்ந்து பாட்டை ரசிக்க வச்சது.
நன்றி தமிழ்ப்பறவை அவர்களே. ஆம், மிகவும் பிரமாதமான இசைக்கோர்ப்பு. பாடலின் மெட்டு என்னவோ Rhymes ஒப்புவிப்பது போன்று தான் உள்ளது. இசைக்கோர்பு அற்புதம். அதுவும், இறுதியில் வரும் "மேகம் கறுக்குது" flute இனிமை.
